The Community
Hong Kong Machine Learning (HKML) is an informal group around Machine Learning for people in Hong Kong, and around.
The main contribution of this group is the organization of a monthly meetup, the Hong Kong Machine Learning Meetup. Feel free to subscribe, and attend the meetups.
HKML invites speakers from the academia and the industry to talk about their work during a presentation of 25 minutes. PhD students are also welcomed to share their ideas and advertise their labs. After the main talks, sponsors and local startups can pitch their business during lightning presentations of 5 minutes. Each meetup ends with a networking time to discuss ideas and share contacts.
Since its inception in 2018, HKML has organized over 70 events spanning 8 seasons, bringing together hundreds of ML enthusiasts, researchers, and practitioners in Hong Kong.
The Founder
HKML was founded in 2018 by Gautier Marti, a quant researcher and trader with successful experience in equity stat arb and credit derivatives arbitrage, and crypto mid-freq stat arb.
Gautier created this meetup to foster a vibrant machine learning community in Hong Kong, bridging academia and industry, and providing a platform for knowledge sharing and networking in the rapidly evolving field of AI and ML.
